Stock basemap ignition table on stock b16a2

Post by DerBuegler0815 »

Hi everyone. Im still quite new to this and i got a s300 for a modified engine that's coming next year.

Im thinking of already installing the s300 to my stock b16a2 (only the typical I/H/E) just to get a feel for it so i can safely bring my new engine to my tuner. And i also like the security features.

I wanna try and optimize the fuel table a little bit on the rich side and run it on closed loop with an aem wideband for half a year

I dont really dare to touch the ignition table. Do i have anything to worry about if i use the stock jdm b16 timing map?
I'm going WOT to the red line quite often (im an addict, dont judge me)
Thanks ✌️

I would recommend loading the stock calibration for the B16 and running in closed loop with it as it is, then start making small adjustments to the fuel table if you want to see how those changes impact driveability and AFR. I agree, don't touch the timing maps if you're NA until you are on the dyno and can see the power differences that changes to the timing maps make.

The stock P30 in Hondata is a great starting point. Adjust from there.
Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast.
