Good afternoon,
Can anyone assist, B16A2 turbo running Injector dynamics 1050 injectors, bosch 044 external pump, aem 320lph intank pump, stock regulator
Vehicle was tuned on the dyno around a year ago, engine failed through poor machine work.
Fast forward to now engines back in, rebuilt again ready to rock.
Fresh battery, Car started and ran at 12.8 afr on idle but idle wasn't steady,
I downloaded the tune off the ecu, brought the duty down on the idle control valve and reuploaded to ecu,
Started car again, afr pins itself to 10:1, i have had the original tune from the tuner and reuploaded that incase there was some element of corruption downloading the file to no avail still 10:1.
Logging the car at idle, i have very high injector pulse width 2.89milli seconds, My tuner things i should be seeing 1.5 milliseconds on these injectors.
Map sensor is a speed factory 4 bar which also seems to be reading different to what we are expecting.
Today i have tried the following to try to get to the bottom of the issue,
Cleaned all earths and reattached,
Re-Terminated battery (located in boot, we have good voltage readings up at the engine bay)
Fuel regulator swapped to another unit
Map sensor swapped out to a stock unit and map adjusted,
None of the above seem to have got me any further.
Dead times used here
Any suggestions on where to go next?

Re: Injector pulse width issues
It could be a mechanical issue with the timing being off as it is not pulling enough vacuum.
Re: Injector pulse width issues
Hi Spunkster
Thanks for the reply. We are talking mechanical base timing and not timing advance arnt we?
Is there some correlation that could cause high pulse width from this?
It was running fairly happy albeit high 1500rom idle before playing with the file. Maybe it's just coincidence?

Re: Injector pulse width issues
I'm referring to mechanical timing.
