Overall Fuel trim vs fuel table

Post by slwgsr »

so I have been messing around with changing the dead times on my injectors which are the bosch 2200cc. The whole point for me doing this was a light throttle misfire I was having from what seemed like the injectors shutting off because it was going lean when it would misfire. So I changed the dead time at 14v from .74 to .53 which made me have to use the overall fuel trim for +35% to bring everything back to where it was in AF under part throttle. great news is the part throttle misfire went away completely with a cruising and light throttle with AF of about 12.5 on e85 on the gas scale. now full throttle im having to back out alot of fuel becuase its stupid rich now and misfiring with AF in the low 10s but thats another problem at the moment. My question is once I get the fuel table fine tuned now for WOT can I translate the overall fuel trim of 35% into the whole map and then 0 that value back out and it be the same thing? Thanks in advance.

Engine is a built LsVtec Turbo btw.

If the dead times were set incorrectly you will need to retune the fuel tables as they will be completely wrong.

yes i am aware of that aspect, just wondering if if the overall fuel trim can translate exactly to the fuel map if i highlighted the whole map and added 35% then zeroed out the overall trim.

for anyone wondering, it was the exact same thing. running 35% overall vs adding 35% to the map and zeroing out the overall value achieved the same AF ratio
