I'm having an issue where my kprov3 won't connect to my surface book 3. I have installed the software and removed it (deleted program files, registry keys, etc) probably 5-6 times now. The issue is when the ecu connects I'm not able to get yellow warning on the device manager to go away. I've followed the instructions in the "drivers help guide" and I always get an error.
I'm currently in the process of just re-imaging the surface book, but wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue and what they did to fix in the off change the re-install doesn't work.
Just to confirm the ECU does connect to my girlfriends laptop, so I know there's no issues with the ecu itself.

Re: Driver Issue with SurfaceBook3
Hey @Honda sorry for the delay I was able to get it working.
So ultimately there were a couple of issues I was facing:
1. The device manager showed a yellow mark showing there was an issue
2. When trying to uninstall or remove the drive, and add it back it said the best driver was installed (even though I followed the steps in the help guide); however there was 2 times when following the help file that the driver installer manager errored out, and I forgot to grab screen caps.
I think the issue that I had was before I installed the kpro software, I installed the drivers. I'm used to being required to install the ecu drivers before the management software working. However in this case just installing the software on a fresh copy of windows 10 worked fine, and you SHOULD NOT install the drivers before hand.
At the end of the day I re-imaged the surfacebook3 and was able to install the kmanager software, and when I plugged into the ecu everything worked as it should.
NOTE: I did try and uninstall the software, delete all hondata/kmanager folders, and clean up registry; however none of that worked and 3 hours of troubleshooting, restarting, etc didn't work so I just backed up my data and re-imaged.
Hindsight I should've take a bunch of data to provide, however with the information above you might be able to generate the error I got.
