Cam Timing

The intake cam timing seems really high, ~28-30 under max load and high rpm.

Would i see gains going to a lower number, closing the over lap?

Or is the exhasut cam being 20 degrees retd the reason the high intake advance? ?

On some vehicles we find very slight gains moving the cam one way or the other but the factory tables are fairly good.
