I have inherited my dads old race car with a P28 OBD2a and first Gen S300 #7864. I am told it was locked by a tuner back in 2009. We just rebuilt the engine and I am curious about how much tuning I can do with a locked system? I am new to this, like yesterday new. Can I just buy the Hondata upgrades and install them and remove this current V1 setup or is the ECU itself locked down? I ordered the USB cable so I can plug in and see the ECU. Will this tell me anything and what should I look for? In current form the tune seems to work well before engine changes but I want to see real data and look at upping injector size if needed. EW1 with FI. Car is built for road racing. Goal is 125-140HP if tune will allow it with the mods we have.
