Rich Fuel Trims when coming to a stop

Post by Civicx990 »

Hi,

I am using 1.5t CVT with the hondata +6 basemap. Notice my fuel trims always take a dip to lower than 11.0 briefly when coming to a stop. Also the ECU goes into open loop for that few seconds. Not sure what is the cause of it. Does anyone have the same experience?

Attached is a datalog sample. Any advise would be useful. Thanks

Do you have an aftermarket intake?

Hi,

Thank you for the response, Example of the time stamp are as follows:

10m03s
10m36s
10m47s
11m55s

During this time, the gas pedal is off, brakes gently applied and the car is in deacceleration.

I am using a 27 Won Intake & exhaust is all stock. However i am still in the process of calibrating the AFM to enable the fuel trims to be as close to zero as possible by making small adjustments each time.

Also to side track a bit, i did not enable the "USE MAP TO DETERMINE WOT" option. Not sure if it is the right choice to do so. I also noticed the ECU tends to run in close loop at 14;7 AFR till the throttle pedal is depressed to at least 70% or more, which is nearly 4k RPM before the WOT fueling kicks in. This behavior is similar to the factory stock settings.

However when i Enable the "MAP to determine WOT" option, the ECU goes into open loop much sooner at much lower RPM ranges.

This is the latest datalog with the fuel trims adjusted much closer to zero. Knock Control at lowest 54% and 0 knock count. However still getting the rich AFR spikes " Time stamp 38s , 1m52s, 9m25s" under same conditions.

Gas pedal off
Gentle braking
Car under Deacceleration

Hope to see more opinions and learn more about the engine and flashpro functions.
