s300 registration?

.
I just received my P72 with installed s300.
A lot of people suggested I should get this for the gsr I just swapped into my 90 Intera LS.
However, I'm leaving the engine stock except for a little free flowing intake tube (k&n) and header (dcsports 4-2-1).
So I'm considering, not using it.
If I plug it into my car it loses value on the market.
If I register it, then isn't it associated with me and my car?
The selling it wouldn't be possible at all?
Thanks
.

This is completely up to you and will be between you and the buyer.

plugging it into your car doesn't affect market value

There's a guy just a few posts away from mine. He bought it from somebody used, and even with the previous owner's password, he can't get in.

So even if I do register it, it's transferrable. Just change the contact info?

a password is not required. That is an option that has to be manually added

Looks like I'll keep it. I think the base map that comes in the hondata installation files, will work fine it this almost stock b18c. I just want'a have a car I can dive another 20 years. I'm only putting on 4k miles per year, so it could with good maintenance and maybe a little bit more wiring as time goes on.
I'm just bitchin' about all the money I've had to spend. Quite a bit more then I thought.
