About once a week or sometimes more I get a p2183 code which appears to have something to do with the coolant temp sensor/wire we use for the ethanol input. I also never noticed this issue before the latest hondata release, not sure if that has to do with anything or not.

Have you disabled the P2183 error check under 'misc'?

Thank you that was not checked, should fix me up. There was another guy on the civicx having the same problem but he is also getting 2185 and 0172 now.

Unchecked. Also 'Use second coolant temp sensor for fan' should be unchecked.

What software version do you have, and what ethanol content are you running?

I've tried it with the p2183 checked and unchecked and it randomly comes back. Any other ideas?

What is the ethanol content as reported by FlashProManager? Some of the sirimoto kits had a wiring fault.

The ethanol gauge and flashpro match as far as ethanol readings go. Think I'm around 37% at the moment. I did see another sirimoto guy had to take his plug and tape it together real tight.

What software version do you have?

3.4.0.0, but I was using the previous version for a month or longer and never had the p2183 come up until I updated flashpro or it was just a weird coincidence.

Please test with 3.4.1 and send us a datalog.

Was this issue ever solved? I'm having the same issue, had the car on sirimoto flexfuel kit for 6 month no issues and this popped up randomly. I got the code to clear for now but what would be the cause and if it comes back should I get the ECT2 sensor replaced?

Can you tell us the software version, what ECU you have and what ethanol content you are running?

With flex fuel the ECT2 is not connected to anything so do not replace it.
