Couple issues - hopefully nothing big

Hey guys, I'm at the tail end of an 04 K24A2/ 05 Accord 5 speed into a 95 EG hatch swap. I've got an 02-04 RSX-S engine harness, K-Tuned conversion harness and a K-Pro V4 in a 37820-PPA-A02 ECU. I did everything according to the K-Tuned instructions and got the car up and running on a preloaded calibration. My issues started with the first turn of the key. No fuel pump. I Googled around a bit and wound up trying to ground the green/yellow (yellow/green?) wire from the EG body harness that I connected the K-Tuned "Fuel pump relay" wire to (per the instructions) and I had a fuel pump. That's cool, but the pump runs any time the key is on which is annoying for a number of reasons. I've been trying (and failing) to figure this issue out while also sorting out a few other unfinished items around the car. During this time, I've been trying to smooth out the idle. The first part of the problem was a bad coil. Fixed that. Still working out the coolant bleeding crap. Went to calibrate the TPS and had it just about tuned in and now every time I click read on the low it goes to .01 and on high it goes to 60. It was reading fine, just off while I was adjusting it. I did cut the pedal stop off because it would stop at 76% or something with it on there. Now it's stuck at .01 and 60 no matter where the pedal is. Could this just be a very inconvenient time for the TPS to fail? Any insight on either of my issues is very much appreciated.

You need to try the ECU in a known working car. If the fuel pump still does not prime and turn on properly then the EUC is damaged and will have to be replaced. If the throttle body has been modified and it has over rotated the TPS sensor it may have damaged it internally.

I'm pretty confident this is the only k swapped car anywhere around me. Vermont is the land of Subaru, not much of a honda community. Does hondata offer a service to inspect and repair the ecu? I'll order a new TPS this afternoon to try.

Have you contacted K-Tuned about the issues you are having?

I have. Mike asked me a couple different things and pretty much said my ecu isn't sending the ground signal it should be. It seems like everything else in the ecu works fine but, as I'm sure you can tell, I am quite an idiot when it comes to the electrical side of things. Hence the reason for buying the conversion harness instead of screwing it up on my own lol I'm hopefully going to order a Mr.TPS sensor this afternoon if they email me back. If I can't get the fuel pump issue straightened out, I'll just run it grounded so it's always on. It is incredibly annoying, but at least I'd be able to drive the car.

https://www.k20a.org/forum/showthread.p ... ump&page=2 the second to last post in that thread seems like my answer for the fuel pump issue, but mine is a 95 and I don't think I have that green plug.

It sounds like the ECU is damaged and would have to be replaced if you want it to work as it should.

There's no way to send it in to be repaired?

If the wiring is correct and the ECU will not turn on the fuel pump then the ECU cannot be repaired. It would have to be replaced.

You're not making me feel any better lol Stupid question, but there's no chance that the fuel pump pin is e10 instead of e1 on the PPA is there? I cannot find a pinout for that ECU anywhere, but have seen a few mentions of the PRA? having the fuel pump on e10. Just a shot in the dark. Also, do you have an opinion on K-Tuned, Mr. TPS or B-series TPS for my replacement? Thank you very much for responding to my questions.

It just seems strange to me that being the only part of the ECU that fails. Everything else is fine and I have had it hooked up correctly since day one. Never applied any voltage to it or anything and I've had good grounds the whole time.

The ECU's have the same pinout. If it is ever wired incorrectly it will burn out the main relay output and will not operate the fuel pump properly.

Damn. Well I guess that settles that.

That is awesome. Thank you much. I will now begin the hunt for a new ECU.
