CKP code error (b16a2 OBD2b)

I plugged in my Hondata s300 v3 and loaded a p28 base map. It starts and runs, but I get a code 4 (ckp “crank angle sensor”) error. My car won’t rev past 3500rpm. I am not able to clear it. I read about a bypass, but I’d hate to splice into my engine harness. Any suggestions?

follow standard diagnosis for a code 4:
-test ckp resistance (300-700 ohms)
-check continuity in wires from distributor plug to ecu plug
-test for shorts to ground or shorts to power
If all the above tests pass, it may simply be because you have an aftermarket distributor, which are junk
If the resistance test on the ckp sensor fails, you need a new distributor.
Buy only oem distributors
