We have a problem with stock engine on itbs which wont rev past 3700 rpm it shows a fault code 4 engine speed sensor ,we have changed the distributor and checked the wiring with no luck

i would be grateful if anyone has some advise

It is because you have a crank angle sensor error. Check the wiring and replace the distributor if necessary.
