Fuel pressure for dead times

When setting fuel pressure on a return style system. Is it set with the vaccum reference line connected or disconnected from the fuel pressure regulator. I have id1050x injectors and the fuel pressures they state on there website is “differential” or (PSID) fuel pressure. Is the differential fuel pressure with or without the vaccum line connected to the regulator? I understand effective pressure, since there is vaccum pulling fuel out or boost pushing against the injector the vaccum reference compensates for that etc, but when they say differntial pressure that makes me think it would be with the vaccum line connected. So is it set with the line on or off? Thanks

You may want to contact injector dynamics for a question like this.

Differential implies that the vacuum line is connected.
