safety maps or default modes??

S2000 Kpro 4 - (serial number not handy)

I've had this happen a couple times and i'm trying to figure out if there is a way to disable it or whether it's inherent to the ECU.

After a spin at high speed, if i keep the engine running which is optimal on track or if i stall it, i've had two of the following things happen
1) rpm won't go over 3500, this then goes away when power cycled on/off
2) car won''t refire until i cycle the power on/off

is there some sort of safety cycle which the ecu can go into based on forward/backwards quickly?
is there a chance when i cycle it that the map in the computer can get messed up?
the map in the computer should be set even of all power is removed (ecu removed) correct?

Are there error codes when this happens?

The ECU will not loose the tuning from power cycling it.

no error codes have been thrown. it just seems to go into some sort of safe/limp mode.

It sounds like you will have to power cycle it if this happens as I am not aware of anything that would cause this.
