I would like to monitor the ecu to diagnosis my current issue with the car. I am the second owner of the car. Do I need to be concerned with my laptop being connected to the car that has been reregistered to a previous owner? Also, should I reregister the ECU now that there’s a new owner? I’ve dl K Pro manager but don’t want to mess anything up when I attach the laptop for my first time.

You should re-register with your correct owner details. This will not mess anything up.
