Hello,
I need some help about my issues on the dash Lotus.
I have connect all wires for the communication with the dash cluster and here is my result :
1- Tachometer; Test & work via CAN
2- Speed; Test & work via CAN
3- Odometer (didn’t test yet)
4- Coolant temp ; Test & work via CAN
5- Fuel level ….*********don’t work…..need help ***********************
6- Shift light (didn’t test yet)
7- Check engine light (didn’t test yet))
8- Oil pressure light (didn’t test yet)
Please I need help about the the fuel level….nothing on the cluster….
Here is my wiring :
-Ground E4 on 104 Lotus
-5v E5 on 102 Lotus
-E15 on 111 lotus (1.6volt, so signal is ok on the wire, and change if I add some fuel)
thanks for your help,
Steeve

Re: K20 lotus 2006 federal questions about Cluster:
I try E14 & nothing on the cluster....
Re: K20 lotus 2006 federal questions about Cluster:
Then check you have the right pin, and then with OBDII error enabled and the Lotus output disabled check the ELD voltage matches what you see on the pin.

Re: K20 lotus 2006 federal questions about Cluster:
Hello Hondata,
I have 4.54V on ELD.V if I connect on E14 ( not good)
and 1.6V if I connect to E15 ( good value ) but no fuel level on the cluster..
I read that a prb ecu is necessary to have this value.... is it the case ? please could you confirm the spec of mine (Kpro4 #43428)
and I had another issue yesterday with my connection ;
-there is no communication with my datalogging on my computer....I check with bluetooth ( on my phone app) and it's the same.
My cluster rpm is stock at 5461rpm and vss at 53mph, so the CAN communication with cluster is not working.
It seems to happends just after a "dowload from ECU "...
I try to upload and older Map without problem, car is running good, reload the last MAP and car is working.....but without communication and dataloging
I use the kmanager 4.3.5.0
any idea to solve this ?
thanks,
Steeve

Re: K20 lotus 2006 federal questions about Cluster:
Please erase any reference of E15 from your brain. The correct pin is E14. E15 is not going to work even if the voltage looks good.
What ECU do you have? It needs to be a PRB.

Re: K20 lotus 2006 federal questions about Cluster:
it's a PRC,
We specified it was for a Lotus federal 2006 before ordering...and we got the answer that it worked with a PRC( please check #43428 )
-Is it possible to modify the PRC ecu ( to work with the Lotus)?
-Do I need to send you for modification ( if possible)?
thanks

Re: K20 lotus 2006 federal questions about Cluster:
That K-Pro serial number was sold as an install kit to Auto Laminar. You will need to discuss this with them.
Re: K20 lotus 2006 federal questions about Cluster:
PRC will not work as it does not have the FTP circuitry - only the PRB will.
