Putting a K24 into a non-Honda and considering a K Pro to run it.
Looking to clarify which ECU/wiring harness/engine combination will work.
There's a lot of information online that is difficult to piece together, will the below setup work:
02-04 CRV manual transmission ECU/wiring/engine with an "immobilizer bypass" should work with/without K-Pro when transplanted, correct?
Can any 02-04 CRV ECU be converted to K-Pro or is it only some of them?
Will this ECU operate the important dummy lights (ie. oil pressure and coolant temperature)?
What kind of tach output will the Honda ECU output?
Will the K-Pro in a CRV ECU be able to operate the 200hp "full vtec" engine (the 02-06 or so TSX) if I swap to it?
Will the K-Pro operate normally if VTC is mechanically disabled? (ie intake cam timing fixed and VTC solenoid removed) Will it go into some sort of "safe mode" or "limp mode" or similar?
K-Pro in a non-honda vehicle
Re: K-Pro in a non-honda vehicle
Are you running a 5 or 6 speed manual transmission?
Re: K-Pro in a non-honda vehicle
It's rwd with a non-Honda manual transmission.
Re: K-Pro in a non-honda vehicle
Dummy lights are not controlled by the ECU.
I'm not sure what you mean by what type of tach output.
The TSX engine must be converted to drive by cable to be used with the CRV ECU/K-Pro.
You can disable VTC.
I cannot tell you what will work without Hondata installed as that is not what we offer. K-Pro is only compatible with manual CRV ECUs from cable actuated throttle bodies from US vehicles.
