Battery Light ON after KPRO v3

Hello, everybody. Since 2 months ago, battery light stays ON after installing KPRO v3. Battery is new and relocated 6 inches below stock location and alternator is also new. The battery light goes OFF if I install the OEM ECU. So the problem is not the battery neither the alternator.
Also a couple of days ago CEL came on but I was in the track, I barely paid attention to the code but I saw something like DAUGHTER BOARD COMMUNICATION something, I don’t know.
CEL comes and goes, really funny.

Any suggestions?

Thanks ahead

What is the serial number that is on the K-Pro board inside the ECU?

What is the battery voltage when cranking, measured at the ECU with a multimeter?

What vehicle is this in?

I haven’t checked the serial number that is on the KPRO board inside.
Battery voltage stays between 13.5-14.0.
Car a RSX 2005 Type S

Hey so I’m havhng the same exact problem with my friends Kpro I’m borrowing for the season it’s a v2 I checked EVERYTHING battery/alternator related I’m throwing a code for a bad main o2 sensor and that’s it but I assume that has nothing to do with it also it’s an 06 Type s with a semi built a2 swap

I can plug my stock ecu back in and no battery light at all but when I plug in the v2 Kpro my battery light comes on if someone can email me a solution at alex.persaud8@gmail.com it’ll be much appreciated because I’m dumbfounded

You should try this ECU in a different vehicle (even without the adapter harness) to see if it gets the same error.

UPDATE

Spunkster, I tried this K-PRO v3 in another RSX (02-04 Base) and no battery light ON.
I bought a week ago a NEW K-PRO v4 and I received it today. Still have the battery light ON. Again, I tried the K-PRO v4 in the other RSX and no battery light ON.

Could it be the harness?
But I doubt it, I tried 2 different 05-06 harness and still have the battery light ON.

Same here, I plugged my stock ECU and no battery light. It’s really crazy, man. That light ON drives me crazy.

It sounds like a problem specific to your vehicle that is unrelated to the K-Pro, ECU or adapter harness.

Could be the alternator, battery or any wiring in between.
