map sensor calibration on prb

I think its a software glitch, but I thought I would bounce it off you guys first. K-pro on a prb in a civic with a turbo. I can fire it up on the stock map sensor as long as I don't click the tab for optional map sensors. Even if I click the tab for the stock sensor in the drop down list my map value shows -29.9. If I click stock map it shows correctly again. If I install a hondata 3.5 bar and click the corresponding settings in the drop down the map value go to 29.9 again. If I apply pressure to the map sensor I can watch the pressure move towards positive, but it never matches up to actual. I can verify voltage change at the ecm pin, but cannot verify voltage in the computer because there is no map voltage pid. I have moved the offset from full negative to full positive and cannot get the actual vacuum and map to read the same.

All tests were performed with key on engine off.

You cannot datalog a valid MAP sensor reading until the engine is running. Once it detects engine rotation you will see it start to read the MAP sensor.

Is it normal the the key on engine off reading to be -29.9? It seems like that would mess up the instant baro reading. Maybe I just don't understand the protocol, but shouldn't it read near 0 with key on?

This is how it works and always has.
