FD2 Type R ECU Swap into FA5 07

Posting up for a friend. He wants to know if you could swap a FD2 ecu into a FA5 or FG2 with no issues? I believed so, as those dont even require immobilizers and is worth doing if he doesnt go FP. Thoughts? Thank you!

They still have immobilizers and I would advise against such a swap as the engine is not designed for that ECU.
