adjusting for new injectors

Post by bacchus418 »

Hello all,

So here's the situation. My car was tuned by Magnesium and it was running well for the first four months or so. Then it started exhibiting problems; stumbling idle, off-throttle surging and finally a misfire on #2. I went through all the troubleshooting steps and it seemed to indicate the DW800 injectors. I swapped them out for ID725s and the idle has improved, and throttle surging has gone away. Time will tell if the misfire is also corrected. But now my tune is way off and Mag is out of the game and I need my car to work now. I thought if I input 725 cc for the injector size and adjusted the dead times, I would be good to go. But a datalog has shown there's more to be done. Can someone help me get this tune dialed in well enough that I can drive this car everyday? I urgently need help! Happy to pay for your time if you have experience and references. And if you have a recommendation for an e-tuner, please let me know.
