Hi all, recently acquired a S300 fitted in a P72 ecu.

Problem i'm having, fuel pump isn't working.

Car:
1996 EK4 SIR (OBD2A)
B16a6 (stock everything)

ECU came out of a running DC2 Type R, unsure of mods but it's running an aem fuel pump.

Using a speedfactory OBD2a - OBD1 conversion harness.

Started off my plugging the ecu, plugged usb cable from ecu to laptop, SManager running, key to ignition, uploaded new calibration from SManager sofware.

Attempted to start car, ran for a split second until it ran out of fuel in the lines.

Have you tried the stock ECU to see if it will start with that ECU? It sounds like there might be a wiring issue.

Yes, sorry forgot to mention.

Car runs and drives with P2T ecu.

With the p72 plugged in.
I’m getting power from F/P relay to ecu.

Anything else I should check?

Are you sure it is OBD2A and not OBD2b?

I’m confident it’s obd2a.

My Ek is a pre facelift, but I’ll try find an obd2b conversion harness and give that a try.

Do you think it could be a bad capacitor at fault here?

Seller told me it came off a running car but I didn’t see it so I’m eating for he weekend to try it on my friends car since it’s naturally obd1

Hard to say until it has been tested in a working OBD1 vehicle.
