problem with connection

hi, i have installed more s300, last in a p28 ecu, i have connect to my laptop with 2.5.6 version smanager, all ok and the software have write me to upgrade the firmware, i dont have upgrade because is only test. Later in the second laptop i have installed the new smanager 2.6.5 version, i have connect the usb,in the windows 8 is started the searc to theusb driver and the upgrade for the firmware(in automatic) but my friends have disconect the usb and now is impossible connect the s300 to smanager because the dont find the usb driver.
i have try to install the driver in manual mode(program/smanager/driver) but windows dont find the good driver, i have connect the first laptop with the old version to smanager(2.5.6) but same problem,the driver,i have inserit in manual mode but same problem... i have download the 2.6.5. but same problem. For me the s300 is blocked to a failure in firmware upload, but now? is impossible for me comunicated to the s300, i have try all option in smanager (the usb driver in help) never solution,please help me
