If I connect TC unit ONLY via USB to my computer (without wiring anything to the car), should TC Unit get some power via USB?
I know that unit is using power from car in daily use, but was wondering maybe it needs to work with usb only for setup?

It is powered by USB as well and I have seen that sometimes when trying to register it is best to unplug the main harness and just plug in the USB.

Its written with marker on the box, 12456. Also on device itself there is a sticker with "ET-12456".
Btw, tried another USB cable, the same story. Tried another machine (iMac), and its not detecting any device when I plug in/out TC.

What vehicle is this being used on?

Are the computers you have tried this on are all running Windows?

I show that this was registered over 2 years ago. Where was this purchased?

I was trying to use it on fn2.
I bought it from tts performance UK as used, they started setup on client's car and client decided to sell a car before they finished. So it was on the shelf for some time, and it was working fine.

I tried on windows xp (flashpro is working here), and also tried on osx. The problem is that OS is not detecting a device, there is no new device in device manager. So its not a driver problem.
Any suggestions?
