Vehicle: 2000 DC2
KPRO Serial: 5915
KMANAGER Software Version: 4.1.5.0
Vehicle ECU: 37820-PND-A07 / 2062-000054
Vehicle Engine Swap: K24A2
I've recently purchased the car and the previous owner did not have a primary o2 sensor installed.
After installing a brand new Desnso - part# 234-9005 & connecting it to my conversion harness & uploading a fresh base K24A2 calibration, I'm getting error P1166 and the A/F reading does not seem to be active (displaying in red).
I've checked & double check the wiring/continuity and they are all wired correctly (according to this post: http://www.k20a.org/forum/showthread.php?t=91229).
I've checked all my fuses and all are fine (engine bay & under dash).
I've cleared the ecu and re-upload a base K24A2 map.
Without the option of testing my ecu to another working car, what else can I check?
Error P1166
Re: Error P1166
Your best option is to test the ECU in a known working vehicle. This will save you countless hours of troubleshooting that may still not point you in the correct direction.
Re: Error P1166
Finally figured it out. My problem was my female connector was bad. Once both ends were connected, the pins on the female end came loose. I basically had to push in all 4 pins once connected to get the o2 sensor to work. I've since replaced my female connector with a new one and everything is working as it should.
