Hey guys, just asking HOW similar are hondata base maps to factory ecu maps?
I just bought a hondata and loaded up the base map for Jdm b18c, car runs fine.
Just want to know, should I continue using the hondata base map supplied on Smanager or use factory ecu until i get the hondata tuned?
Thanks

you can use the hondata map, if you haven't changed your injectors, and are running NA(naturally aspirated) also run in closed loop on the stock primary O2 sensor in narrow band mode. Anything else needed for clarification?

if you have a wideband sensor plumbed into the exhaust you would be able to see your AFR's and you could see if you were running less then ideal numbers, at WOT on NA you should be seeing 13.5 AFR's but 12 - 13.5 is acceptable. But if your seeing 13.9-17 for AFR values that tune is no good and you'll definitely detonate.

OK so your target voltage is 0.5 volts on your android app which you should be able to see in the sensor list under 02 sensor, while your in WOT make sure that you are seeing something like 0.8 or 0.9 of 1 volt as your WOT desired target voltage. the sensor will read higher voltage as air fuel mixtures get rich. Unfortunately just not accurately but you will be able to tell if your lean or rich. see this picture for a visual aid.

Kept an eye on the wideband 02 reading and cruising it was 0.8, on WOT it is 0.9. Seems fine hey?
