AIM MXS, Wideband O2 and Kpro4

Post by aaron johnson »

Ok asked a few questions and answers have been perfect to now.

I'm running a kpro4 in an s2000 and an AIM MXS dash.

I've got two options for wideband, running my PLX DM-6 to the Kpro4 or using the aim to log the wideband, so a couple questions
1) what are the benefits of switching to closed loop wideband control of the Kpro4 over the stock sensors
2) if i switch to closed loop wideband and remove the sensors what are the outputs from the Kpro4 to the AIM
a) RS232 outputs ECU_22 HONDATA_LAMBDA Lambda value and ECU_23 HONDATA_AFR Air/Fuel ratio - which channels do these come from in the Kpro4
b) CAN outputs don't list any AFR or Lambda value, but i assume if i put the PLX to the Analog 2 input i could then send that signal to the AIM for viewing on the dash.
3) I could just run direct to the AIM through my LCU-one and log the RS232 parameters in the aim and go to the kpro4 logs for detail

The question really comes down to whether there is any real power/reliability/tuning benefits of running it in closed loop over the stock sensors. I know i want to data log it, but need to get the best benefit. I will be logging either RS232 outputs or CAN outputs into the AIM and more details will be logged in the Kpro4.

Just looking for some advice here.
