Motec communication

Post by angrysheep »

I am trying to install a Motec CDL3 in a 2008 Honda Civic that has been flashed with flashpro. I am not able to get the Motec to communicate with the PCM over the OBD II port. Does the flash change the information broadcast over the OBD II port? If I attempt to communicate with a Snap On Scan tool I get some data, but it appears to be incorrect. Example the ECT reading is 250F on start up. If I use the Flash pro software the Data appears to be correct. Any help is appreciated.

The FlashPro does not change the OBDII communication.

Is it possible the flash is corrupt? Do I need to use the Motec Configs on the Hondata website?

If the ECU flash is corrupt the ECU will go into recovery and the vehicle will not start.

The Motec config on our website are for the CAN outputs from the S300 & Kpro.

I verified that motec works on another car. What steps can I take to proceed?
