24 knocks on stock calibration?

Hello, I am new to this forum and to kpro. All that I have in my car is a CAI and and was trying to use the calibration k20a2-rsx-coldair.kal but had a bunch of knocks in the 2500 - 3000 rpm range, after some research i was able to tune it and it's a lot better now but still had 1-5 knocks driving around.

I was curios and wanted to see the factory stock calibration and uploaded it with only the flash mil when knock is detected enabled. I couldn't believe that my car had this many knocks on stock calibration. Is this normal? or is there something wrong with my car? My car is an 02 rsx type S, thanks in advance!

What fuel are you using?

I'm using 87 at the moment. I know it would make it a little better if i used 91-93 but I thought this car doesn't require that level and I was using stock calibration. I guess what I'm trying to find out is, is this normal? Is this really an acceptable amount of knock on a stock car with stock calibration? I wouldn't have known that my car was knocking this much if i didn't have the kpro and I thought I wasn't knocking before at all. I've read somewhere that this could also not be "real" knocks is this true? Thanks again!

The Type S requires premium fuel - at least 91 octane.

I'm an idiot! You're totally right! I just wasted a bunch of time tuning on 87... I'm going to wait two full tanks of 91 octane before I start the next tune. Thanks again for the help.
