Smoothing rev limiter

Hi,
I would like to smooth out stuff when I reach rev limiter, because rotrex don't like it :)
But before experimenting on the engine itself, is the best to use the same number for rev limit and rev recover? Will it keep it smooth or it will be best to use for example 8600 / 8300?

You will be much better off retarding the timing near the rev-limit as this will lower the power made and make it much smoother.

Cool, can do this as addition, but what is smoother, 8600/8600 or 8600/8300?

You will have to try the different settings to see what works best in your situation.

If you have the limiter at 8600 rpms, then try 8500 rpms recover!
Note: The lower the difference, the softer!
BTW: I know, if the speed limiter would non-existent, the engine/Rotrex would still want further! ;-)

Best result (for my build) is 1:1...
I use currently rev limiter 8400 rpm and for recover 8400 rpm too...
