Mulcer's flash

Has anyone had any experience with this flash? I found it on another link, flashed an 06 Si with just an exhaust, and now I'm getting some decent knock counts. I am BRAND new to flashpro but I read this flash was safe with a near stock setup. I used "safe" loosely because I know the importance of proper tuning and knowing what the heck you're doing.

I just had a friend pick up a flashpro and he asked me to install it and tinker with it. He's picking up the car later today and don't want to leave him with a ticking time bomb. Looks like most of the knock is happening at high load, lower rpm. He's also pretty low on fuel in the tank.

Stock datalog with oem calibration
first datalog.fpdl
Mucter's datalog
mucters datalog.fpdl
Any help would be appreciated.

You should tune out any knock as it could damage the engine. You should reduce the timing in the areas where knock occurs.

So retard the timing in those areas?

Are you not using MAP to determine WOT (calibration tab - then Closed loop settings)? There are a few times (time stamp area in the log 1:12.7 and 1:14.4) when you are obviously at a high load (MAP over 90 kPa) and the car is still in closed loop with a AFR in the 14's. That will promote knock, and several knocks occur at those time stamps. I'd make sure that high loads are getting the proper fuel before you start lopping off timing.
