I have a Honda DC5 which we race in the UK. The car originally came from the middle east.
Since being in the UK it has been fully rebuilt and now has a race engine which was professionally built. The engine has uprated rods, pistons, cams & followers, balanced crank, lightened race flywheel and race clutch. The car runs a standard fuel tank which supplies a swirl pot and then has a circulating fuel system past the injectors (480cc). Car is running on a full race 3" exhaust with no cat and single Lamba sensor

We are running the car on and early Hondata system which has no memory so to map the car I have to strap in a laptop !!!
As the ECU is bolted in I enclose a pic which shows the number hand written on it.
I am using KManager version 4.2.6

The car ran a standard engine in the 2015 session and was faultless and very competitive. In early 2016 we fitted the new engine and after a short while it started to sound extremely flat in the VTEC zone. In fact it sounded like a soft cut at high revs across all 4 cylinders. The exhaust was extremely sooty which indicates the car is running rich ! I have checked the plugs and they actually look very good.

I enclose a copy of my Data log from the latest run although we were limited on revs due to noise issues and a copy of my calibration. I did note that we threw a error at the end of the session regarding the cam sensor. However I am not sure if this is linked.

Hopefully someone will look at this and notice something!!!

Double check the cam timing. Pull the valve cover, put the engine to TDC using a rod on the piston, then check the cam sensor wheels at the flywheel end of the cams are aligned horizontally. This is more accurate than using the timing cover marks.
Also check the valve lift is not more than the valve springs can handle in VTEC.

I checked this today and everything lined up on the timing chain end. However as the pully is adjustable I have questioned if it has moved. I will have another look from the flywheel end.

Hopefully someone will look at this: Spent the morning looking at my Data log.

I noticed that I have a knock count of over 900 in a 3 minute period. Also the knock limit is stuck at 100% and it swings from -3 to 56 constantly.

Could it be that I have interference from external noise like the Cams ?

Valve to piston contact would cause the knock count to skyrocket, and the power to go flat.
