difference between afr and lambda overlay

Post by blackeg »

Still learning the software here lol. I noticed the other day that my lambda overlay was reading 13's and 14's but my afr was in the 12's. here is a screenshot. it lasted for a few seconds it wasnt just in the transition between throttle positions. why such a difference? which value do i go by when tuning? Thank you. This was a bone stock a3, which is out now and the k24a2 is on the cherrypicker ready to go in this week

The lambda overlay is an average of all the recorded lambda values for that cell (subject to some filter). The lambda is instantaneous. Also the lambda overlay can be corrected for fuel trims.
