Installed Exhaust, Getting Insane Knock Counts!! Help!

Post by Baileyozz »

So Basically I installed an Invidia Q300 on my 2011 si. My Knock counts before after my commute to work were usually in the 20-30 range on cylinder 2 of course.(I pulled ignition in trouble areas but thats the best I could do.) My commute is about 45 mins mostly highway. Then with the exhaust its now in the 130's. Its driving me nuts and im pretty sure its phantom knock but its really annoying when i have less power then before because it pulls like 15 degrees constantly. Ive noticed that the exhaust vibrates a lot more which i think is the problem. I also dont have a flex pipe. the knock occur mostly around 2900rpm with 25% load and thats also when i get the most drone/vibration form the exhaust. So my question is it likely its just the exhaust and a flex pipe will fix the problem? Can someone or hondata let me know what you think? Ill attach a datalog, and yes ik that it runs rich a lot of the time. Any help please! Greatly appreciated!

It could be vibration and something hitting , or it could be real knock that needs additional tuning. I would try to eliminate the vibration and anything hitting first.
