Tps issues

Post by 93civicdx »

I'm trying to finish up a k24a swap into an eg and now I'm running into problems. First problem was tps was reading 100% no matter what I did but the car drove perfectly fine but it had a idle speed of 2k and didn't drop. I contacted k-tuned to get help and mike told me to swap the outter wires. I swapped it and now it's reading good with the engine off. When I try to start the car it takes a few key cycles to get it going. I noticed when the car is on my tps value doesn't move off of 0 until I quickly tap the throttle and it goes up for a split second and goes back to 0. It reads normal with the engine off. The car is also having a surging idle speed which it didn't have before when the tps was wired backwards. I need some help.

Some specs on car:
Kpro v4 prb ecu
Jdm k24a type s stock engine
K20z3 LSD transmission
02-04 type s engine harness
Sparkks conversion harness
Rbc manifold w k-tuned 80mm throttle body
Iacv deleted.

IT sounds like a TPS problem. I would recommend you try the ECU on a known working car and if that works, then try replacing your TPS, if that still does not fix it, then it may be a wiring harness issue.
