Hi im trying to install the hall effect diy rear wheel speed sensor from xenocron tuning. I have kpro 4 prb ecu. 02-04 type s engine harness and a gear driven speedo. this is in my 91 Toyota mr2. and I would like to use my front hubs abs ring.
Need help wiring it and calibrating please. Xenocron offers a male plug in pigtail to plug in to the factory vss wire.
will it work from abs ring?
can I use it as my speed to datalog as the new accurate speed for boost by gear and stuff.
any info would help.

Re: XENOCRON REAR SENSOR CALIBRATION HELP
The KPro4 can use a digital input for speed, but you would need electronics to convert the ABS signal to a digital signal.
Why not use the transmission speed sensor? Also a problem with using a non driven wheel speed as ECU speed is that the gear detection is not going to be accurate.

Re: XENOCRON REAR SENSOR CALIBRATION HELP
I was having an issue with the factory vss jumping around and get to 158mph on the dyno and while tunning. At idle or with key on dataloging the vss would blip random mph while not moving, causing issues with launch control and boost by gear/speed. Ive tried multiple sensors and still same problem.
Last night I installed the xenocron sensor off my front abs ring on the hub. it works but doing the same thing as the factory vss was doing 158mph and jumps around not moving.
After I cut pin 18 and wired it to vss input and chose alternate vss in parameters got the calibration pretty close driving around it does rear smooth and accurate, but still at idle jumps to 4mph once in a while. Not as often as with oem signal wire but still does it.
Only other thing to try is to tap in to another sensor ground and sensor voltage. Any other suggestions?

Re: XENOCRON REAR SENSOR CALIBRATION HELP
is there a way to do boost by speed somehow?
Re: XENOCRON REAR SENSOR CALIBRATION HELP
It is setup for boost by gear, not speed.
