Aux Output Ignition / Fuel Trim

Post by Lyle_57IAL »

Hey Hondata,

Will be using the aux output fuel / ignition trim for a dry nitrous setup. In regards to the fuel trim - the numbers entered, are these a "percentage" style trim of the fuel map - Or Fuel Raw units referenced by the hondata ecu ?

Any good safe fuel & timing figures to start with. Will be running a 50shot

Cheers :)

Could you recommend some bal park figures to start with. I am spraying a 50shot from 4500rpm.

What extra percentage in fuel and how much timing to remove would be a good start ?

A '50 shot' can be 15-50 hp depending on the bottle pressure. For the fuel you need to look at the fuel value at peak power and then allocate proportionally by the peak power amount. eg if the power is 200 hp with a fuel value of 2000, then for a true 50 shot add 500 fuel units.
The ignition retard depends on the compression, forced induction and amount of power. Generally for a 50 shot you don't need much retard - a couple of degrees. It depends on the engine.
