D17 Wiring O2 Sensor

Post by murderem2 »

I drive a 2005 Civic Coupe EX 5-Speed. Just finished installing the Hondata ECU. I I just did the headgasket, timing belt, AEM HONDATA cam gear, and some ARP headstuds. m waiting on an engine mount to arrive so I can finish my job. Today, I removed the OLD ecu and plugged in the Hondata ECU. I don't want an engine light on for a O2 sensor not being recognized or installed once I start the car up.

Per instructions: https://www.hondata.com/kpro-d17

1) Move A14 to E6 (black with white stripe)
2) Move A25 to E2 (white with red stripe)

My connectors do not have the same colored wires but I do have wires inside the pin numbers specified for the connectors A and E.

Can I just not wire the stock OEM Civic O2 for closed-loop operation? I already have soldered the output analog wire of an AEM UEGO gauge to the KPRO board for analog devices. I will install the AEM UEGO gauge in a few months, but for now, all I want is for both my O2s to work without using the rear one as a wide-band and just plug and play the ECU if possible without re-pinning the O2.c.

I looked up my VIN, my car was made in 2005 (just to double check), and it is an EX trim, so IT HAD to come with a wideband O2.

You must re-pin the wires as it states in the instructions. If you do not it will not work correctly.

This is weird! The wires were already moved to the appropriate connector. I noticed they were missing from connector A, but were already pinned to the correct spots on Connector E! I noticed they were the colors described as well, so the ECU is plug and play from here it looks like.
