I just bought a 06 k24a3 and trans with intentions on installing it into my 2000 civic and running kpro but then I saw that the 05 06 kpro is not supported when used in a vehicle other than the rsx.

If I were to drill out the transmission and install a 02-04 speed sensor along with installing the speedometer gear on the differential would that make everything work or is there more to it than that such as the entire engine harness being different? do I need to scrap the idea and get a 02-04 engine/trans?

What might be easier is to just buy the case from an 02-04 and swap whatever parts and bearings necessary to run the 02-04 speed sensor. But in the end it may be more cost effective and easier to just sell that transmission and get one from an 02-04 RSX.

I'm also swapping a k24a3 into a EK. What I did was that I bought a dissembled RSX transmission and used the casing of that on my 6 speed k24a3 (from a accord type-s) box. I still haven't tested it, I'm trying to start it for the first time as we speak so I will tell you how it works out.
