Jerky, if cancel the cruise control!

Post by R-12914 »

Hi Hondata,

the throttle is jerky, if i always run my car/engine @115-120 km/h in the 6th gear (for example) and cruise control "on" for a while, then i cancel the cruise control with the "cancel"-button, it makes a more or less jerky by the car.

I can compensate this jerk, if i lightly press the accelerator pedal, to "catch" this issue and and it is not jerky!

I have attached a datalog to illustrate the problem.

To this datalog is to say, that the cruise control is working and that the throttle pedal is @0%, the throttle plate is @~16%.
At ~7 seconds of this datalog, i push the "cancel"-button from the cruise control, to deactivate it (now the jerk comes).
In this case, you can see, that the speed indicator and the rpms display jumps/jerks a little bit, then the throttle plate goes down to 8%.

Here is the datalog:
CruiseControlJerky.fpdl
Is it possible to make it smoother (no jerks) in every gear and speed, if i cancel the cruise control, so if i push the "cancel"-button?
As if I slightly press the accelerator pedal?

I hope you understand what i mean?!

Thank you!

That's how it works. When you hit cancel it disengages the cruise control and returns the throttle to an idle position.
