For over a year now my hondata s300v2 has been resetting itself.
Everytime i go to start the car the ecu needs a map loaded up. Once it has been switched off it holds the memory for a few hours, but then once i try again the next day it has cleared.
I hope someone can help me. I have updated the smanager to the latest version also the firmware and zlso erased the ecu and loaded a basemap again it clears
Thanks in advance

What is the serial number that is on the s300 inside the ECU? From Help, About, what is the version of software you are using?

Have any of the capacitors on the ECU been replaced?

I bought the ECU with the chip installed from a company in the UK. It was a new item and has only ever been in my use, so no they haven't been replaced.

You must remember that these ECUs are now 20 years old and the capacitors are beginning to fail and that could be the cause of this. We offer a capacitor replacement kit that may resolve your issue.

If that does not fix the issue then the s300 may be bad and it will have to be replaced. The cost to replace the s300 and upgrade it to the V3 is $380. This is why it would be best to try replacing the capacitors first as it is a good idea to replace them anyway.
