So I recently acquired a second hondata s300 unit and when I looked at the two s300 boards, I noticed the circuit layout and stuff looks different between the two, then I noticed one of them said R7 and the other said R8 on the circuit board. Whats interesting is that the older R7 board seems to have a lot more things on the circuit verses the R8. My question is which one is better? Is there any difference between the two? And does the R8 have less features since it has less things on the board? I can provide pictures if needed.

Here is an attached picture. R7 is on left and the R8 board is on right.

Some of the components have changed footprint (U4 -> U3, U1 & U2 -> U1). They functionally are the same and work in the same way.
