Hi guys,
I'm running a Kpro V2 on a PRA ecu. This is put in my dc5 type r (which has an PRB ecu stock).
Now my o2 sensor doesn't read the volts. So it gives a constant a/f of 14.7.
I'm not sure if it was like this from the beginning, i thought it was reading fine at first.
Do i need and narrowband or wideband o2 sensor for this ecu? if i need a narrowband, could i hook up the secondary sensor?

The PRA uses only a narrowband sensor and cannot read a wideband signal even if a wideband sensor is installed.

Ok thanks, so which sensor would i need for the kpro to read it?

Re: Kpro v2 on a PRA ecu in a DC5 type r
I just checked an old datalog. And it did read the voltage of the primary o2 (denso wideband). However it seems it didn't give out an a/f ratio. Voltage was between 0 and 1 volts. At the moment it constantly reads 0 volts, and gives the p135 error code.

You would have to use the narrowband sensor and rewire the car to be the same as a Euro spec car.
It would be a lot easier to use a PRB ECU.

I'll add the datalog, as you see it does read the o2 sensor (wideband denso) at this point.
At the moment it doesn't anymore, so i guess the wideband sensor has died on me.
Is it possible to use a narrowband to function for the closed loop?
I can always use an external wideband for tuning purposes.

As was previously said, you will be much better off just using the PRB ECU in the vehicle and the original wideband will work with it with no wiring modifications needed.

Don't have the original ecu anymore. How much Harm can it do driving in open loop? Not using the sensors At all. I can hook up a separate wideband at my tuner (sneaky tuning in the netherlands)
Re: Kpro v2 on a PRA ecu in a DC5 type r
YOu will not be able to run in closed loop using an aftermarket wideband and will only be able to use it for datalogging. IF you upgrade to the V4 K-Pro then you will be able to run closed loop off of an aftermarket wideband with the PRA ECU.

Problem solved, made a stupid mistak. Checked the ecu, it is a prb. The map that was installed on the ecu previously was made on a pra basemap. So it had the pra software. Just used a prb ecu and the wideband works again!
