Idle, IACV, and friends...

Post by IdaSol »

So I have an idle issue. I'm pretty sure that I have eliminated all possibilities and determined that it is the IACV, but I'd like further input. When I have the IACV duty cycle turned all the way down I can get the car to idle at 1100RPM (14.7AFR), however, if I turn it [the duty cycle] up at all my idle immediately raises to 1450RPM(14.7AFR) and starts to surge. If I half-way cover the top hole in the throttle body I can force the car to begin idling at ~1000RPM. If I plug the top hole the car dies. If I unplug the IACV the car will struggle to idle at around 500-600RPM(--- Lean).

Ign timing: 16deg
Low Ign Timing Map Idle: 18.5deg
Min Idle: 1000RPM
TPS Volts: 0% = .53v 100% = 4.46v (TPS is offset in Hondata Calibration so it shouldn't matter)

Mods on the car are as follows:

Precision 5431E .63 A/R
Tial Wastegate (9lb spring)
Blueridge Motorsports Twisted Ram
Go Autoworks Charge Pipe kit and Intercooler
Skunk2 Manifold
B16 Block
GSR Head with Skunk2 Springs and Retainers
RC 750CC High Impedance
AEM Wideband Uego (Wired to ELD)
Speed Factory 4 Bar
Walbro 255

I have attached a video as well as the calibration, and log.

Sidenote: How the hell do I fix my AFR?

Have you tried cleaning the IACV or swapping it with a known good one?
