IAT Sensor Causing Car to Not Start

Hello all,

I am new to this forum but have been present on 8thcivic for a few years now. I just finished relocating my iat sensor to the charge pipe before the throttle body on my greddy turbo build. When plugged in, the car will intermittently not start when the iat is plugged in. When it doesnt start, the fuel pump does not prime and my dash lights are lit up very dim like so:

If I unplug the sensor, the car starts up, but i get a cel for "Intake Air Temperature Sensor High Input" and VSA lights on:

The way the sensor is wired is similar to how it is done in the Hondata DIY, except instead of tapping the two wires, they were cut and soldered to the pigtail:

I am confused about how the wiring of this sensor, be it a bad sensor or pigtail, is causing the car to not start. Anyone have any suggestions? For reference, I have posted the links to the sensor and pigtail that I purchased.

PIGTAIL: http://www.ebay.com/itm/181824748692?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT
SENSOR: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I87 ... ge_o02_s00

Thanks for the help!

EDIT: It turned out to be loose and corroded battery terminals. So when fiddling around in the engine bay, the terminal would get knocked loose. Then when leaning back in to unplug the iat, I must have kept knocking the terminal into place. It would consistently happen, which is odd... but changing the terminals fixed it.

Post your calibration.

Here is the calibration, its tuned by vitviper.

Have you discussed the problem you are having with vitviper?

Do you still have the AFM plugged in?

No I do not have the MAF plugged in, only the iat sensor.

It is the IAT wiring and/or the grounds. Why not just put the AFM back? Also I would check you ground wiring.

My tune is a MAP based tune, which is why I leave the AFM unplugged, but the two temp sensor wires from it are wired to the iat. Would there be any reason to leave the AFM plugged in as well as the IAT sensor?? I'm uncertain how it would be the iat wiring causing the issue. The connections are good and insulated. I've gone over them and redone them as well. What grounds should I check?

The iat needs to be before the TB to read accurate temps. For now, I reuploaded my calibration and it has not happened since. Maybe it was some sort of glitch in the cal.

You have changed the IAT wiring and now you get an IAT related error. Switching back to the AFM will tell you if it is your wiring change or something else. Nothing in the calibration is going to make the dash lights dim - it still seems like the IAT change or the grounds.

I have fixed this issue. Turns out it was bad battery terminals, which were a tad loose. I replaced them and no longer have the issue.
