Flashpro locking problem

Post by o9si »

Hello, I purchased a used Hondata Flashpro for a 2009 Civic Si. I bought it using Hondata website's guidelines on how to verify the unlocked status. Everything checked out... But I am getting an error message trying to enter my VIN on the Hondata program.

"Could not lock the FlashPro to this vehicle
Entered VIN does not match recorded VIN"

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for the help.

What VIN are you trying to enter?
In FlashProManager under the FlashPro window compare the VIN (under vehicle) with the VIN you're entering. They should be the same unless the ECU was swapped at some point.

I am trying to enter my VIN from a 09 Si. The FlashPro program tells me the VIN is unlocked and there are no security passwords. It let me delete the previous owner's info (name, email, number), but still getting the error

What is the serial number of the FlashPro? Has it been plugged into your vehicle yet?

You must plug it in to your vehicle before you can lock to it.

And if this doesn't work, what is the solution? I appreciate the help and fast replies.
