Daughter board error, Hondata installed in Toyota

Post by seven »

When posting a KPro problem with your vehicle, please include:
- what vehicle you have: Toyota MR2 Spyder
- serial number of your K-Pro: I'll post it as soon as I am next to it
- version of software being used K manaaer 4.1.4
- ECU part number (starts with 37820) and serial number (the number under the part number) Will post as soon as I am next t it

- KManager version : 4.1.4

- anything about the car which has been modified from stock which may affect the ECU (don't include what sort of rims you have nor stereo etc). K20z3 head with supertech vlave train RBC cam gears, 440cc injectors, kelford cams, 12.5:1 compression

-MWR - 3 months previous

- The car is not running VSS. We are using Toyota speed sensors in the hubs to get a MPH reading, hence the VSS code. One first start up the car runs perfectly fine, no issues but if you turn the car off upon the restart (duration between restart is non dependant) the car throws a daughter mouther board code listed above and runs in safe mode about 15 second after re-start. The code can be cleared but will reappear in seconds and will continue until the ECU is re-uploaded or the battery is disconnected (hard cycle). The battery has been replaced with a Braile B2015 brand new. We have 4 ground's. I do notice that green light inside the ECU is on even if you turn the car off. Once the code is thrown the Red light stays on inside the ECU. I'm running out of idea's. Ive read the install guide in the technical section as well as the previous thread with the same codes.

You need to check the voltage at the ECU when cranking as it sounds like it is dropping too low which is causing this error.
