i have a problem with a B16 turbo. the setup is
B16 turbo 14psi
injectors 650cc RC
turbo t3t4
map sensor hondata 4bar
ecu p28 hondata s300 v3 brand new

the car was tunning perfect with out any problem all the calibration works excellent, but when disconnect the laptop and star again the car gets a rev limit in 2000 rpm. if connect the laptop again i can see in the datalog how the revlimit turning on in 2000 rpm and i can´t do noting to disable. i check all the option and i don´t have any protections active and the rev limit are in 8200 rpm

if i connect the laptop and start the with datalog, the car work well no rev limit problem and work perfect. i try disconnect the laptop and the car continues working well.

i try put another map the ITR stock only change the injecctors and map values and the problem is the same.

Try SManager version 2.4.2.0 if that will help

do you by chance only have real time update under the options pulldown menu enabled, and you aren't using the upload feature to actually upload your calibration?

the scenario: you make or have a calibration on your laptop saved, you have real time update enabled, you save the tune and the ecu is running the tune. you turn off the car and disconnect the laptop, turn the car back on but it doesn't see the calibration because your laptop has the file and the ECU doesn't.

the resolution: try using CTRL+U(or in the menu -> ONLINE -> Upload) to initiate an upload of your calibration to the ECU memory, the first time it will load up in about 5-10 seconds, every other time in the future this will only take half a second.

if this is not the case are you using the most recent USB driver? are you running windows 8/7/Vista/XP?

The same problem was happen to me yesterday.. i just bought a new board hondata..every time i disconnet the usb cable, i wont rev past 2000 rpm. Then i check for update i found a new version there. After update the latest firmware everthings is going fine..and problem solved..

tanx i have cheked the automatic upload, i use a lot hondata i tunne tree or six cars every week i have all the options perfec but tanx for the contribution.

The ECU is grounding via the USB port. Stop and fix this before running the car again otherwise you risk burning out the ECU / s300.
Check the master ground on the thermostat housing. Check the wires are in good condition and the contact is good. Also check the valve cover ground is on the stud holding the valve cover on, not the valve cover itself (a common mistake). While you're at it check the transmission ground too. For all grounds remove them and clean down to bare metal at each end to ensure good contact.

i don´t tink can be the ground cable, i can connect disconnect the cable and the car continue working.

if i start the car with the laptop connected (with datalog running) the car works great.

if i start the car without the laptop connected the car only rev to 2000.

if i start the car without the laptop and connect after start i get the revcut on at 2000 (the datalog attached).

if i start the car with the laptop connect (with datalow running) work great, if i disconnect the USB continue working great.

the car was running for 2 years with a chip tunned and working excelent only change to hondata have this isue. if i connect the chiped ecu work excellent.

the ground are good

Who socketed the ECU?

I soket the ecu, i have more tan 10 years workin with chips and hondata and others sistems. not is my socket, i have a engine simulator to thest the ecus in the bech and the installation are perfect.

but i can solve the problem now

is the fimware in conbination with the software.

when i socketed the ECU i register via my desktop computer. Before i register the s300 manager updated and i register two hondatas when i connect the ECU to the computer automaticaly update the fimware and after register the s300.

in my laptop never update the s300 manager and this is the problem i have old s300 manager and new firmware in the ECU.

the solution are update my laptop and download the program again.

Download the latest beta version of software from the downloads section of the website. Let us know if that fixed the problem.
