Smanager will not open
Hi,
I recently installed an antivirus software called Webroot. After this I would receive an Error 0 anytime I tried opening any hondata software.....smanager, kpro, or flashpro. I completely uninstalled the Webroot software and now I do not get the error when I try to open, but nothing seems to happen after clicking on the program.
The programs will show up under processes for a few seconds and then shut off. No signs of the program opening other than the process coming on and then shutting off. Any ideas??

Re: Smanager will not open
Reinstall the Hondata software and it should work if the antivirus has been completely uninstalled.

Re: Smanager will not open
Thanks Spunkster. I have tried this with no luck. I cannot find any files from the antivirus left either.
Re: Smanager will not open
Try contacting Webroot for assistance with this as it seems this is related to their software.
Re: Smanager will not open
Webroot is difficult to uninstall. See https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroo ... d-p/150201

Re: Smanager will not open
I have webroot and the only way it will allow me to open up smanager is if I disable webroot. Right click webroot active icon at the bottom right and turn off. I usually turn off the internet for security purposes.

Re: Smanager will not open
I have uninstalled everything webroot related and tried about everything else I can think of.
I get these errors in the event viewer in windows when I try to run smanager.

The error value is listed in the Additional Data section.
User Action
1. Open the file again. This situation might be a temporary problem that corrects itself when the program runs again.
2. If the file still cannot be accessed and
- It is on the network, your network administrator should verify that there is not a problem with the network and that the server can be contacted.
- It is on a removable disk, for example, a floppy disk or CD-ROM, verify that the disk is fully inserted into the computer.
3. Check and repair the file system by running CHKDSK. To run CHKDSK, click Start, click Run, type CMD, and then click OK. At the command prompt, type CHKDSK /F, and then press ENTER.
4. If the problem persists, restore the file from a backup copy.
5. Determine whether other files on the same disk can be opened. If not, the disk might be damaged. If it is a hard disk, contact your administrator or computer hardware vendor for further assistance.

Re: Smanager will not open
That did not work either :/
Whatever file it is looking for must be something that is common among all of the Hondata software. Kmanager and Flashpro do not work either. They do the same exact thing.

Re: Smanager will not open
It is anti virus software and/or the remains of anti virus software. Try running SManager on another computer and you will see.

Re: Smanager will not open
I have done everything possible to get rid of the antivirus including combing through the registry. It sounds like most people were able to fix this issue with webroot by simply uninstalling it. I wonder why mine is being such a pain.
I know it works on another laptop. That is what i have had to do ever since this happened lol.
