Datalogging PC MHz

What is the typical sampling rate (MHz range) for a laptop/USB 2.0 (and USB 3.0) datalog, and is On-board faster?

It all depends on the processor speed. memory, running processes, number of windows open...etc. In some cases on-board may be faster, but that can also be adjusted to get longer or shorter datalog times.
